Who is eligible for participation?

Participation is open to all Indian Residents and Overseas Indians/ NRIs who are 16 years or above as on 1st December 2023. This shall be deemed to include all persons born not after 01 November 2006. He/She must be a registered student in any recognized college course.

Is this different from Bharat Ko Jano (Offline/School Level)?

YES, The Quiz Bharat KoJano (Offline) is conduct only for the school level students. But this quiz is being organized in the Online Mode for College Level Students, Overseas Indians, BVP members and all others.

Is there any geographical or location restriction?

No. Anyone, who fulfils the above criteria, can participate in this Online Quiz.

Can Children/wards studying in any school, participate?

NO. The students studying at school level cannot participate in the Online Bharat KoJano Quiz.

Will there be verifications of credentials?

YES. In case of doubt, the College Status of the winners of the Online Quiz will be verified by the concerned Branches/Regional Branches of Bharat Vikas Parishad. In case the status of the winning participants turns out to be false, he/she will be disqualified and will not be considered for anyprizes or certificates. However, in case the document cannot be verified, Bharat Vikas Parishad may take a decision based upon individual merit and shall take a decision accordingly.

Is there any FEE for participation?

No.

What is the structure of the Online Bharat KoJanoGlobal Quiz ?

The Quiz will be conducted at all-India level as well as global level in one round only. Oversea students can participate as per their convenient time.

Is Registration mandatory?

YES. It is mandatory.

What do I get when I WIN? What are the prizes?

The winners shall be awarded with Silver Coins as Prizes/Awards/Certificates :-
# 1st Prize – 10 Silver Coins
# 2nd Prize – 8 Silver Coins
# 3rd Prize – 6 Silver Coins
# Ten Special prizes of 2 Silver Coins each to next 10 merit holders
# Three Special Prizes of 2 Coins each to Top-3 Overseas performers
# One Silver Coin each to the top rank holders from the 28 States and 8 UTs
# In addition, 01 Silver Coin each to the 2nd position holder of the 11 Big States
# Recognition of the first 100 Rankers through “Certificate of Appreciation”

What happens if there is a Tie?

In case of a Tie, (i.e. where two or more contestants have the same scores ) the TIME OF SUBMISSION OF THE QUIZ ANSWERS shall be taken into consideration..

• That means, the contestant who submits the quiz at the earliest, shall be considered as the winner among the Tie Cases.
• In a rare situation, if there is still a Tie between the contestants, their Date of Birthshall be taken into consideration and the younger participant shall be declared the winner.

Are there any subjects/courseswhich cover the subjects for quiz?

There are areas of knowledge and information which will guide the preparation for the Quiz. These will generally includethe following topics given below which are only indicative in nature. Participants are free to refer other sources of information to prepare for the quiz. In a nutshell, it will include everything, every matter, people and subjects etc. which involve India and the Indians.
